Proofing

Before your project is printed, it goes through the proofing process. A proof is an early version of your project that closely represents how it will look when printed. Whether you have a e-proof or a digital proof, you’ll want to review your proof carefully so we can make any adjustments before sending your project to press. While you can make corrections in the process of printing and of approving the proofs, it might waste your money and time unnecessarily.

E-Proof (soft proof)

We create a .pdf file that will be identical as the file being used for printing. It is very convenient for clients. All they need to do is download and review. We make e-proof files within 12 hours after you have uploaded your art files. The e-proof will be uploaded to your account and you will be notified. Once you have checked the file, click the “Confirm” button and we can start printing!
During the e-proof review process, you can verify if there are any problems with the following.

• Bleed
• Safe-zone issues
• Image resolution (300dpi)
• color profile(CMYK, RGB)
• Pagenation issues

Digtial Proof (physical copy)

After receiving your art files, we create a proof using a digital printer and your art files. It will not be bound and you cannot specify the paper stock. Since we are using a digital printer, we do not need to create a set of plates. this proof is not intended to show color accuracy, nor image quality, nor paper quality. As with e-proof print-ready PDF files are processed through our prepress software before being output so that any potential issues can be spotted.
We recommend using digital proofs only for designs that use 4-color process, since they do not provide a good representation of final PMS colors. If your design contains foil stamping or embossing, these elements will be printed in one solid color. Digital proof can only show size and positioning of foil stamped or embossed elements.
Digital proof can be created and shipped within 2 business days.

Press Proof

The most accurate of all proofs, but is the most costly. We use a press to generate the printed image before running the actual press. The magazine is printed, bound, and finished, as the final product would look, on the specified paper stock. Note that the price of the project may include an additional press set up charge as it is time consuming to set up the press for the proof, then the actual job.

If you have a hard deadline for when you need your printing project, please communicate that in your order notes or to your customer service representative. We will do whatever we can to ensure you receive your print project in time.
